Fourth’s food pantry exists to offer reliable, dignified access to food for our neighbors. We believe no one should have to navigate unnecessary barriers in order to eat, and we work to make each distribution as welcoming and straightforward as possible. Everyone is received with respect, and no one is asked to prove need.

How the Pantry Works

  • No appointment is required. You can simply show up.

  • ID is not required.

  • One visit per household per distribution.

  • If you are walking, we recommend bringing a cart to help carry groceries.

If you have questions regarding the food pantry, please reach out to us at  foodpantry@fourthboston.org.

If you are not already receiving SNAP benefits as well, we encourage you to call Project Bread’s FoodSource Hotline at 1-800-645-8333 (TTY: 1-800-377-1292) or their online resource to find out if you are eligible for SNAP benefit.

Food Pantry Volunteers

We are really in need of volunteers, especially ones that can lift and carry heavy boxes (60 pounds), have foreign language skills, work well with people, or are a little computer savvy.

Please contact us at office@fourthboston.org if you are interested.
